INFP
You focus deeply on your values and devote your life to chasing ideals... you often draw people together around a common purpose and work to find a place for each person within the group. You're creative and seek new ideas and possibilities. You quietly push for what's important to you, and rarely give up. You might be somewhat gentle or have a good sense of humor, you could be hard to get to know and overlooked by others...you like to make the world more in line with your vision of perfection.
If you're a teenager, you probably have a bit of a rebellious streak. (Um... no, I don't, I'm horrifically guai) You might argue with others who hold different values than yourself..you probably have a small close-knit group of friends...you can relax around these pals and be pretty entertaining, since you see the world in a different and special way... that's why your posts on the Storm Palace are so great! (Storm Palace?)
Inner harmony is the most important thing to you. You're sensitive and loyal. You have a strong sense of honor concerning your personal values. You'd rather communicate your feelings in writing... *nods*
You do best in a flexible situation where the teacher/collegue takes a personal interest in you...you like to interact with your peers, but not TOO much ...you have both creativity and flexibility, and you like that about yourself....you don't get bogged down by details...your job must be fun and it must be meaningful to you....you don't wanna feel conspicuous so you'll sell yourself short just to avoid the spotlight...
You can be a gentle and subtle leader...being indirect and inclusive of others...you don't confront people head-on, but rather work with 'em to get the job done....you lead with your values in mind and let these guide you...you don't like conflict, so you don't confront situations directly.. you'd rather wait for a situation to work itself out....
Leisure and kickin' back is really important to you. sometimes it is hard to separate work from play, huh? when you find a new recreational pursuit, you do a lot of reading up on it...most of your leisure things are done alone, like reading, listening to music, and even BBSing....when you want to be sociable, you can be very charming and outgoing..
Love is a very deep commitment to you...it's not easily attained...you probably pick out flaws or are disappointed when he or she doesn't match up to your ideal as to what love should be like...first dates are very well set up to make sure everything is taken care of so it can be "just right." you might have a hard time sharing feelings about others...you tell so many feelings inside that you forget to tell your partner that you love 'em or whatever....
If the relationship goes bad, you take it to heart, but probably don't tell many others about it....you have a tendency to overreact, huh? Other things to watch for...don't get so caught up in your dreams that you don't consider others' points-of-view...you might not adjust your vision to the facts of a situation...you may need a "reality check" once in a while... also, don't try to please everyone and be so hesitant to criticize... don't delay projects 'cause you're holding out for perfection...it's not gonna come...don't get overly critical because no one matches your perfect ideals... you could lash out and it could get ugly.
INFP: "I Never Find Perfection"
Did this before in JC actually... yah lar it's pretty much like me on the whole... It's a pretty cool test, and tends to be accurate because of some sort of scientifically researched combination... But this free online test is of course a kinda imitation of the real test, which is pretty detailed and costs money, but well. This one still works well relatively well... Click here to try!

Just one of those days when nothing's really happening, and you're glad you've got a break to take a breather.
Or is it simply procrasination at work again?
Anyhow for once in a way I've got enough time to sit down to have a nice long conversation with mum that didn't involve a reproach of some sort. And I like that, talking to her, that is... Although I'm fond of people in general, there are only so many that I can talk to for ages and ages and feel completely at ease with myself, still. And anyway, my mum knows more than enough of what I'm like, flaws and all, for me to bother to be self-conscious about what I'm saying. Hah. But really, I was thinking, perhaps the best part about being a friend or a family member is that you get taken for granted... really. Because it just goes to show that you do know, and understand, and accepted the person for who he or she is enough to not be sidetracked by civilities and the proper art of conversation making, which gets a tad bit too tiresome. That's why the constant need to make new friends every sem puts me off sometimes, that's why I miss my SN friends a lot, that's why I'm looking forward to the next SC outing, that's why I appreciate friends that still stay in close proximity after last sem, that's why I'm really glad I get to meet my do-re-mi gang and the rest of Reso every week =)
Speaking of which! I have a plug to make... the Reso juniors are putting up a mini presentation on Tues, 29th March, 6pm, probably in one of the function rooms in YIH, and I would really appreciate it if you guys can drop by after lessons. We promise fun and entertainment along with the couple of old favourites we'll be doing... So come and hum along to the catchy tunes I'm sure you'll love =)
Hmm. Warm day, still feeling lethargic and don't have enough inspiration to come up with something quirky to write...
I wanna go out! Buy shoooes! Watch moooovie! Sing sooongs! Or maybe go for a swim. Anyone wants to date me? =P

Oh hooray... look, it's 1.45am at night, and here I am for a quick break from poring over my EL readings. At least I can promise fully that I've done my part (and more, I believe, but why grumble?) for my report for the upcoming presentation... Feel like such a spammer sending panicked emails to group members asking them to read up the corrections and readjust their stuff... Okay lar fine, everyone's busy with their own stuff and the tasks for the group presentation really puts people off but... well. The deadline was yesterday =/
Tired. Tomorrow's still a bleedin full day and I have another presentation to rush for. And falling asleep during lectures is not exactly the best way to learn, to put it mildly. ='( I shall hope fervently that this does not portend a migraine, because I wanna sing tomorrow. A break, at least, from schoolwork. Although I did get to sing today... and still got to reach home in time for my 9 o'clock show! Best of both worlds, eh? Like my econs tutor said, rare, but possible.
Once the presentations are over I shall attempt at practising muggerism at muggerdom, i.e. Central Library, and see how long I can last. But hmm. The nice comfy seats and absolute silence in there do make for cozy curl-up-and-nap possibilities. There's nowhere quite as cozy as the library for a nice quiet break ^^
K, gonna doze off le. Talk another time...

R & J at the Waterfront
Had a wonderful time on Sunday watching Romeo and Juliet with Sharon out at the Waterfront. The performers from TNT were fantastic... they can sing, act, dance, play instruments and do professional gym-like flips, and they deliver their lines with such passion! It's Romeo and Juliet to life again, and I suddenly realised how much I miss that play =)
The setting was delightful, as was the company =P Sharon and I were initially grumbling about why it was situated outdoors and not in some posh cushion-seated area like the Esplanade, but I think we totally changed our minds the moment we got there, got ourselves a nice grassy spot, unrolled the mat, and settled down nicely beneath the brilliant blue sky just metres away from the river, amid all the cheerful chatter of the surrounding people. The weather was warm and windy and cheery, and suddenly you realise that there's really nothing better than to watch a Shakespearean drama out here, rain or shine.
And because I could probably never impress upon you the beauty of the scene through words alone we shall see pics instead! Took a gazillion pics with fellow narcissistic friend ;) but am not gonna post all because we took so many of them so close up, I could count the number of stressed-induced pimples on my face >_< Heh... so here goes!
That's my favourite drama-companion and me at the Waterfront!
Just to show you how brilliantly blue the sky was... the roof of the indoor stadium looks like the tip of Mount Fuji from here... whoever says that Singapore's not scenic hasn't been to the Waterfront, tilting your head back-back-back and watching the clouds float past you, hanging just within reach...
Yay! With Sharon again!
Looking nice and relaxed in the delightfully romantic setting... with clouds in the sky and grass at your feet and the wind in your hair... ^_^
Waterfront at night... Love the lighted buildings of our bustling city and their shimmering reflection in the river. There's a boardwalk there, by the way, so now you guys know another boardwalk where you can do... um... romantic stuff *winks* ^_^

Sing sing sing-ing...
Cadence was cool... very very very cool ^_^ They were brilliant with the kids and oh so entertaining! Go A cappella! =)
In case you don't catch what I'm gushing about, Cadence's an a cappella group of four funky Canadian guys, who do really fantastic stuff with nothing but their voices. Okay, they've proven that four-part songs can sound just as full and as challenging as six-part pieces, although it probably worked out that way cos they're pretty amazing in condensing two parts into one... imagine doing both the bass line and the drums! And for Kiss the Girl they had violin, and the trumpet, and the percussion-bass, and the descant and the melody and the actions above all that... *impressed* Under the Boardwalk was hilarious too... the choreography! There were of course loads of songs that held me entralled but I happen only to remember this two cos we've sung them before, so... *sheepish grin* And amid all the crazy prancing about they do onstage, the blend pitching rhythm and tempo stays solid throughout. *beams* New a cappella idols! Gotta work harder now for the mini junior presentation on the 29th... I'm already hopping impatient for the next prac already...
Oh oh... another significant point to make, amid all this awwww so cool! fervour... After the performance the whole group of Reso people met up with them, and we had a little "exchange"-- if we sing them a song on the spot then they'll sing us a song of our choice too... so we did 我们的故事, in exchange for Feelin' groovy. Da said maybe the seniors could have done Go Down Moses... which is kinda true lar, that song's more "zai"... but we didn't do too badly anyhow... we sounded pretty soothing then, generally, perhaps cos there were so many of us we blended better... *shrugs* aw well. But do check out their sample songs... especially Feelin' groovy, at http://www.cadence-unplugged.com/
Oh yes... we did Uninvited for practice last Friday, and TIm was asking me to "sound clearer" for all my high notes (wait... I have only high notes in that song, so that's basically the whole thing... hmmm...) and I asked him how I oughta sound clearer without the risk of sounding too thin... He shrugged it off, initially, not knowing quite how to put it, but when the rest started the song again he picked up the score and started to sing the entire sop line, right down to the end, as nicely and as clearly as could be.
......
I think Davina and Cheryl (senior) were quite horrified.
And so was I, mainly because...
My sop part is starting to be invaded by the tenors! First JereMI for 故事, then TIm for Uninvited... And they can reach higher than me with half the effort! *wails* Horror of horrors! The ex-one-and-only-junior-sop is gonna be displaced by the guys! My stability is so threatened... *tragic sigh* I shall attempt to extend my range down to sing tenor so it'll be a mutual swap. Or pick up some tips from Davina and reach the B-above-the-high-B without blasting (yes, one octave higher than the high solo for Amazing Grace. Talk about amazing...)
Heehee... okay lar let's not be too melodramatic... this entry getting too high --no pun intended-- probably because of the incredible relief at having finished my essays (at last) and not having homework to hand in for the time being... am gonna chuck all proof-reading and scanning for grammatically-incorrect sentences and flow aside for now, so pardon all the incoherent bits... the tenor guys do actually sound pretty decent on the sop part... although that has contributed to them being addressed as Timotella and Jeremella... ahaha... but then I shall be a good girl and practice my Ds and Gs when no one's around to shut me up =)
K, early lecture tomorrow... look forward to a saner entry next time round, and an account on the delightful R&J concert I went with Sharon last sun...
Till the next time... leave lotsa notes! Doesn't matter if tagboard is down (again, argh) you can still leave a ripple =)

Of Cla's concert and annoying tutorial mates
Back again! I guess I shall make this a short one too, but well. We'll see =)
Have yet to talk about Clara's hall production last Saturday, but hadn't wanted to chuck it in as a rushed entry because I wanted to gush over her performance. =P Hee... We're all very impressed by you, Cla, you know? Patching Hearts had a pretty decent plot and undoubtedly a talented committee behind it, what with the sets and the music and the songs and the acting... with publications publicity and stuff... It must have taken months and months of prac for an hour-long production to run so fluently, on top of school work and what-have-you... you guys are amazing. But hmm... there're still several moments when the show starts to drag and periods where the performers are not quite so into character yet... can sense a sort of awkwardness about them that kinda dissipates the mood... and because of the sombre nature of the plot and all the reflective treasure-your-life stuff the show did risk getting pretty dull at moments. But... BUT!! We've got the vibrant, crazy, whiny, bossy CE-CI-LIAAA to spice up the show with her spine-chilling calls of Daaaaa-reeeen~! Hahahaha... ever dearest Cla in her moments of the utterly pissed off, attention seeking, melodramatic Ce-ci-liaa really had me laughing till I teared, especially towards the end... I loved the spontaneity and the natural-ness she had in her role (but now to come to think about it, what does this imply about you, hm, Cla? ;P) Woah... I wish I could act like that *wistful* Hee... give me a few tips on how to pull that off for my theatre studies class leh~ And yes, consider trying out for mediacorp auditions, or something =) Oh, and the self-composed and performed songs were good, as were the voices of the actors and actresses... And I was ecstatic meeting the bunch of SC girls again, even though the time together was a little too brief =| Meet again after exams, okay?
Shall post-concert pics!
Ce-ci-lia and Daaa-reeen
With my new ou xiang ;P
Charm Malia and Gek
SC girls say cheese!
Yeeps, okay, now that I'm all into the blogging mood again, let's move on to the next topic, something which really sparked total annoyance just yesterday. There are maybe less than a handful of people I absolutely cannot stand, and the kind that fits most easily into this category are bleedin arrogant, pompous guys whose intelligence (if any) is used in big showy words that attempt to cut people down so that they can flex their glowing superiority. Bleeding assholes, I tell you. There was such a guy in my tutorial class yesterday, located, it so happens, at the seat right behind me. But let's start with a bit of background info first. For our tutorials the class breaks into groups of three to four and, for each tutorial, one group will act as the discussion leaders to summarise the topic, bring up some interesting points and to facilitate discussion within the class--sorta like taking on the role of the tutor for the day. Friday's group did a pretty decent presentation and gave a number of examples at which the whole class was to participate in sharing their opinion, and while the presenting group went round the class to get a response from each person, Mr Smart Guy and company sat whispering right at the back role (undoubtedly swapping intellectual ideas, of course). When it came to their turn they had nothing positive to say about the screened ads beyond "it's boring" "I don't see the point" and "it doesn't serve a purpose", which was still... okay, if you assume that they don't identify with the content, but what really pissed me off was when the group started a debate question, to which Mr Smart Guy suddenly cut in with "I don't mean to jump the gun, but what you guys are trying to make us do is to (insert assumed content), which will only show how diverse everyone's experiences are. I just don't see the point in this entire discussion." WTH? I daresay the group handled it well, patiently explaining that he might have misunderstood the purpose of the discussion, but no, he didn't back off even when our tutor put in a word, going on and on in that pompous I-know-where-this-is-gonna-lead-and-it's-just-a-waste-of-my-precious-time argument. It didn't help that his face, with his turned-up nose and high-and-mighty expression, practically shouts Do the world a favour, slap me. *rolls eyes* And you think people with a flair for language and literature can afford to phrase their discontentment diplomatically. Or at least make the effort to sound less qian bian. But no, all he wants to do is to make others look less intelligent than he does. Huh.
Anyhow our group's gonna facilitate tutorial in this coming couple of weeks. Maybe we can structure a reality-show kind of discussion, Survivor style, so we can all opt him out of class within the first three seconds of him opening his mouth to discredit yet another person's point of view. Bwahahahaha! Yah I wish. So bad, hor. I'm so sorry, people like that just get on my nerves. Like another guy I knew in NY who used to make announcements for his club, laced with bits of sarcasm and snide remarks that hint at a less-than-intelligent audience. Argh! But then again A3A had a good laugh over it that period when Andrew shaved his head and screwed up his face in the most horrific manner and started to imitate the pompous way the said guy spoke... they looked uncannily alike, and even Miss Tan and Miss Chew had to stifle their laughs while trying to tell him not to be so mean =P So I guess I'm just thankful that they're still lotsa nice people around to make up for one person with a superiority complex =) They do help a lot in bonding, in an indirect kinda way, so we shouldn't complain too much right? =P
Kk gotta rush for the Cadence concert. More news another time! And keep blogging!

Ditty
So I was bemoaning my terrible fate in the little half an hour alone before English tutorial, desperately wanting to sleep and not think about the amount of work I've got left to complete, attempting to actually start on my tutorial before I went for lesson (and found, to my horror, that I had been wasting my time on an improbable tutorial that was meant for next week, and that I didn't bring the right tutorial to class and had to spend 45 minutes looking at my tutor in absolute confusion) Didn't help that I wasn't able to catch what was going on.
But that's beside the point... as I was saying, I was at the benches outside LT12 then, getting the occassional spray of rainwater and staring at my pile of EL notes, feeling decidedly reluctant to dissect the mind-boggling analysis, and decided to write. It started with nonsensical prose at first, playing with lines and structure and words... But then the words began to come together in a quirky little combination... and lo and behold! We have a poem!
It's a silly little ditty scribbled in a half-conscious state, but well. I'm still oddly endeared to it ;)
Three forty-five outside LT12
Amid my notes I see my self
Mine eyes they struggle not to close
Like one on severe overdose
The brain so heavy that it sinks
In blurry consciousness tries to swim
The notes, the words, they all befuddle
My pore ol' mind is in a puzzle
I whittle and while my time away
O! What a long and dreary day
Let projects and essays long be over
That my mind doth not about about 'em hover
Alas! To tutorial I now must go
Why oh why must this be so?

How very melodramatic. Reminds me a little of some of the awfully dramatic Shakespearean prose, what with O!s and Alas!s... Nonetheless quite an amusing little activity... harks back to the days where Da and I will indulge in all sorts of crazy little MissT's life-story poetry =P But then most of our wonderful works are buried goodness-knows-where... shall try to dig them up some day and have a good laugh together =)
I miss the luxury of slacking. A lot. Goodness. But I shall spare you all a earful of more whining-- or a eyeful of more writing? and blog again when life gets more interesting. So, till then~
