... is really quite apparent on Facebook:
In other news, Reso members have once again proven that food is the greatest carrot you can dangle:
From Charm(s): "if a large percentage of people report attendance [for the debriefing], we will consider getting ice cream. :D so people, report attendance now! :D "
We don't usually see people replying this efficiently :P

Post VOIII
I feel very very very blessed :) There is just no place to begin. It did go well after all, VOIII, with so much fervent praying, and I'm so so so very grateful.
All you infectious, crazy, dedicated, lovable, noisy Reso people-- I love you all :) Thank you for weaving such fond memories with each performance we have, thank you for such a beautifully dazzling VOIII, from its very humble unsure wonky beginnings to the stunning performance last night. It's hard not to fall in love with Reso over and over again with people like all of you :)
There's no group I'm ever prouder of being a part of. Thank you, my dears, for being part of it with me.
Go Reso! :)

Sing it once more
Full dress tomorrow (today, actually) and I'm really really excited about it.
Reso concert is gonna be dazzlingly beautiful. I can feel it in my bones. I listen to the recordings and watch the flurry of choreography and my spine tingles in anticipation.
You guys must really, really come and watch. Aside from the fact that the concert means a tremendous lot to me, it's gonna be something that you're gonna love, too, I believe. Plus I have really really zai juniors that make me feel so tremendously proud to be part of Reso =D
So yes, if you haven't already heard this:
Vocal Obsession III: Reminisce is on Saturday, 28th June 2008, 7.30pm at the UCC Theatre. Tickets are $15 each, drop me an SMS anytime, or email nusresonance@yahoo.com.sg to book your tickets today! We're doing all the iconic songs we've grown up listening to, so it's gonna be pretty fun hear it live all over again and to sing along with us =) How better to relive those days than to sing them all together? =)

In Conversation
With morbid friends...
(In an extended discussion on people jumping into MRT tracks, after looking at railway-barrier pictures in Japan)
A: ... so we were wondering if a person dies upon impact--like when the MRT hits him, or whether he dies when the train slices him into half.
W: But he can still be alive after he is sliced into half, right?
C: The heart is in the top half of his body, after all-- he might still survive for a little while more...
A: ... and then he can say that he's not half the man he used to be.
C: -_-"
---
With practical family members...
(After reciting prices for various Singapore Flyer promotional packages)
Mum: So why would anyone want to book an entire capsule anyway?
Charm: For important functions? Or for a really romantic dinner, where a guy can take the opportunity to propose to his girlfriend...
Dad: Huh. Why spend that kind of money to propose?
Brother: *matter-of-factly, without missing a beat* So that the girl cannot run away, since you're both sealed in a capsule in mid-air. She'll have to say yes.
---
And the one-liner from a highly exasperated mum, after an hour of shopping for my performing outfit, which happens to be in a shade of colour she does not like.
(Walking into a commonly-frequented store)
Mum: (To startled storekeeper) We're looking for a top that's ugly blue in colour.
Charm: (exasperated) Yes mum, we get the idea.

I found ANOTHER error in one of my lengthy applications that I sent out last week and am feeling very, very annoyed with myself. First it's a grammatical typo in my application for an editorial position, and now it's missing information in an application form. I am utterly APPALLED. ROAR. Am crossing my fingers and toes and hoping that they have kindly HR people who'll let this pass, otherwise it's goodbye to two perfectly decent jobs.
In other news, have been rung up to attend two tests and submit additional documents for 4 different companies, so am sincerely hoping that these'll work out better. One of these "additional documents" for one of the companies include "writing samples... something more colloquial, perhaps an entry from your blog? Just so that we can get a general feel of your writing style."
I should put up a poll for Readers' Favourite Blog Post and give her the most popular one, except I probably don't have time for such frivolity. At any rate I have been browsing the entries in the last few months and feeling generally horrified at the quality of writing. I seem to have abandoned my long-winded posts in preference for brief grumbles at random nonsense.
Plus this seems like a sneaky way to spy, as Shell pointed out, so...-shudder- Perhaps not. I'll find colloquial samples of my own writing elsewhere.
So. That's it for the job hunt-- nothing more to reveal because I've yet to have interesting news-- such as upcoming interviews, for instance. Plus I figure I gotta learn to be more diplomatic now that I'm heading out into the world, so to speak--some places might not take kindly to publicity, positive, neutral or otherwise.
Ah well. =)

Final Sem Results
Oh my goodness. -reels in amazement- I don't know what to say... but this has gotta be the best semester out of all my 4 years in NUS. I have never got a straight row of one single alphabet before, not even for A Levels.
Perhaps I really should have taken up all 100 percent CA modules from the start. And Reprod Health is genuinely a surprise, even more so than Narrative S. But this has been a really really lovely semester--interesting modules, great lecturers, fantastic groupmates :)
It's a lovely way to end the four year run, and I'm infinitely grateful for it :)

CAC+us 08
Swiped off the girls' albums!
Nobody in the world can beat Su Hui's I-am-so-innocent look. Noooobody. All she's short of is a glistening halo and cherub wings. Charm looks decidedly mournful as she tries to match up.
Well okay. In reality I was struggling very very hard not to am chio.
Hugs for my favourite funky fellow NELer!
Reso blows you kisses! Yes, our very cool deadpan-Chen, too! Be honoured, people!
